Lochlea Smoke Without Fire

Launched in September 2025, the 'Single Estate' range is a new trio of core single malts from Lochlea, designed to replace their

 

Smoke Without Fire is inspired by the Ploughing seasonal releases. Matured in ex-peated refill Bourbon barrels and red wine casks, it brings a gentle smoky option to the range. As with all Lochlea whisky, it was entirely made with barley grown on their Ayrshire farm estate.

Nose – Sweet red berries, flowers in bud, cherry blossom, lemon peel, and soft smoke

Palate – Salty sea smoke, fresh cut oak, bonfire char, light citrus, light delicate fruit, a hint of sherbert

Finish – Light char, soft blossom, gentle to finish, and fresh phenols
