Founded in 1990, Royal Tokaji was the result of the first foreign investment in the vineyards of Tokaji after the fall of communism. They now own 107 hectares of vines, many in the first and second growth vineyards, from which a range of 11 wines is produced in styles ranging from the dry Furmint, through to the nectar that is Essencia. At the helm in the winery is Hungarian legend Karoly Ats and, whilst 20 years ago the wines of Royal Tokaji were seen as harking back to old traditions, they are now the standard bearer for the region.

Tasting Note
Pale gold colour with delicate citrus and spicy aromas. Light and refreshing on the palate with hints of white peach and honey. It has an excellent acid balance, a smooth, silky texture and a clean, long, crisp finish.
