From the amazing people at Vega Aixala in Penedes, Spain, comes these 2 absolute belters.
2019 Brutal Blanco - 100% Roussanne, fermented steel before being placed in Amphora for 3 months. No clarifying or filtering and absolutely no added sulphur. This is a big, rich textured wine that gives heaps of stone fruit, peach and pear.
Dietary – Low Sulphur, Biodynamic, Organic, Natural, Vegan
ABV – 13.5%
2019 Brutal Negre - 100% Marselan and this wine is brutal by name, brutal by nature. Stainless steel fermented then 5 months in old french oak. As with the Blanco, nothing is taken away or added at any point during the winemaking process. Dark and brooding, grippy and textured with blackberry, coffee and spice. This needs grilled meat to balance the crazy!
