2020 Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Jean-Louis Chavy, 75cl

The Chavy family can trace their roots in Burgundy back more than 200 years. It was Jean-Louis’ father Gérard that began to estate bottle his own wine in 1986. Over 30 years later, in 1998, the domaine was split between his two sons: Alain and Jean-Louis. Located in the heart of Puligny in a new and modern winery, Jean-Louis creates balanced wines with incredible minerality and fruit purity.

Hand harvested, pressed and settled for 24 hours. Fermented in oak barrel (15% new) using indigenous yeasts at up to 20C. Mlf occurred in barrel and the wine spent a year in wood prior to bottling.

Restrained style with lovely fresh citrus notes, red apples and a hint of oak spice.
