Grape Variety - Chenin Blanc 65% Grenache Blanc 35%
Producer
The Majestic Kasteelberg Mountain stands sentinel over the fertile Riebeek Valley below, offering a rich diversity of soils, where hand-selected vineyards of lesser-known varieties thrive under the dry-land conditions of the Swartland wine region. Klein Kasteelberg showcases terroir diversity through blends of limited release varietals like Mourvèdre, Marsanne and Grenache.
Winemaking
Different vineyards were vinified seperately and final blend made after wine spent approx 3 months on gross lees. Only free-run juice was used and wines were fermented in stainless steel tanks at very low temperatures.
Tasting Note
Decadent tropical fruit and a hint of spice, a concentrated mid palate, and a long, juicy finish.
Food Matching
Serve well-chilled as a glass on its own or pairs beautifully with many dishes due to the layered flavour profile and well-balanced acidity
