Bogle Family Vineyards, Petite Sirah
Bogle’s “heritage” Petite Sirah boasts over 50 years of farming tradition. The first red varietal our grandfather planted in 1968, this wine is truly rooted in Clarksburg history.
This Petite Sirah is bold and uncompromising. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry and black plum intertwine with masculine notes of new leather, cedar wood and smoked pipe tobacco, all wrapped in a dusting of espresso. On the palate, this full-bodied wine delivers layers of ripe blackberry, anise and spicy clove, supported by firm, mouth-coating tannins. The finish lingers with intensity, promising both enjoyment and excellent aging potential.
This versatile wine pairs well with a variety of foods, such as smoked lamb shoulder with rosemary or braised short ribs with blackberry barbecue sauce.
