A new core release from Campbeltown distillery Glen Scotia. The spirit matured for over 12 years in first fill bourbon barrels, and is bottled at 46% and natural colour. A great value age statement release from the popular coastal whisky region.
Tasting Notes
Aged exclusively in first fill bourbon barrels, this single malt opens with fresh sea air, honeyed vanilla and hints of exotic tropical fruit. On the palate, wonderful layers of caramelized sugar, tangy citrus and vibrant pineapple, balanced by subtle toasted oak. The finish is long and warming, with gentle notes of cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg spice.
