Land of the Saints, Santa Barbara GSM

43% Grenache, 30% Syrah and 27% Mourvèdre. Vinified and aged separately in neutral oak barrels. 30% whole-bunch fermentation. Blended one month prior to bottling. Another nose of inviting ripeness and purity from Land of Saints. Red and black fruit leading on the nose, but peppery spice joins the sleek fruit on the palate. Good freshness and fine-grained tannins. These wines seem to marry interest and accessibility very well indeed.
