Tasting Note: Dry, light white from the Furmint grape, which is better known for sweet wines, this has a fine, mild acidity, a scattering of walnuts and almonds and scents of mint and honey.
Food Matching: Master Sommelier Isa Bal MS has paired this wine with seafood tempura served with a lightly spiced dip, and with soft goats cheese. Who are we to disagree? This also works beautifully with roast chicken and turkey.
Vineyard: From Furmint grown on the volcanic soils of Tokaj. Patricius owns 85 hectares of vines across 8 vineyards, most of which are farmed organically.
Vinification: 100% stainless steel fermentation with neutral yeasts to express the pure character of the Furmint grape. Minimal intervention with gravity flow instead of using mechanical pumps.
