Domaine les Deux Cols, Les Michelles

A new (and one off) wine from Les Deux Cols, 'Les Michelles', which is a 3 way split of old vine (80+) Carignan on sand; younger (20 ish) Grenache on sand on the slopes above; and 25 yo Syrah on iron rich loam. The Syrah and Grenache are destemmed, the Carignan is "mille-feuilled" (Simon's words!). Then 10 months in old barrel and demi-muid. It's the 2022 - which Simon says was quite tight and structured in its youth (vs his 2023s which were super open and good to go), so he tucked it to one side and decided now was a better time to release, as the wine has really come around.
