Holyrood Embra 43.6% 70cl
The second release of Holyrood single malt, distilled in our home city of Edinburgh (or Embra). The distillery's first peated whisky, it has been matured in a combination of casks, mainly first fill Bourbon, some peated quarter casks from Islay and just a little bit of American new oak.
The label design is based on a linocut inspired by images of St Leonard, the patron saint of barrel makers, and eponym of the street the distillery is located on. The hints of smoke coming from the hand imply ‘gifting’ or ‘releasing’.
