Winemaking - From a biodynamically farmed parcel of Welschriesling planted in the chalky, gravelly Gebühl vineyard. The wine was fermented naturally with a small percentage of whole bunches. It was macerated on the skins before being aged on the lees in old oak French barrels. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
What it tastes like - A wine that has such intensely ripe herbal green aromas that it smells like it was born on a cannabis farm. Its power makes it seem almost impossible that it's made from an Austrian grape variety called Welschriesling. Give the wine a few minutes to breathe in the glass, and out of this intense herbal ouverture unfolds an incredibly spicy and structured wine. Bob Marley would approve of its message.
