Ardbeg 10yo Islay Malt 70cl

To describe Ardbeg having a cult following would be to do a disservice to the many, many fans of this smoky Islay beast. Although peated to one of the heaviest levels of any standard whisky (up to 50ppm) the distillation method adds a fruity sweetness that sets it apart.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Exceptional balance and depth, toffee and chocolate, sweetness and cinnamon spice, followed by medicinal phenols. Sea spray and smoked fish, hickory and coffee. A complicated nose.

Palate – A dash of sweetness to begin with, followed by a peaty note, tobacco and espresso coffee. Treacle sweetness and liquorice.
