2015 Chateau Picoron Le Bon Nobel Merlot Bordeaux

Their wine production is based on less is more - less additivies, less interventions and with no attempts to change what nature is. The approach is adapting to change and learn to coexist with it instead of trying to control the ecosystem.

Their wine is produced sustainably using organic practices with no animal products and minimal intervention.

Château Picoron inspires new generation by anchoring itself in the tradition of the old estate where the beginning of winemaking can be traced back to over 2,000 years ago. The estate is named after Picoron family that continued winemaking from 1570.

Since 2015, the winery celebrates the future of Bordeaux with its new Australian family owners.

Grown in the plots surrounding the Château is the great grape of Merlot, the potential of which is what the family explore. Their wines are therefore not blended.

Each wine is produced of single plot grapes, with vineyards grown on famous St Emillion clay and limestone ridge. Their approach yields an exclusive amount of only a few hundred cases.
