Producer Profile

These wines really are "The Dog's"....

A cracking red and white pair from the Roussillon, deep in southern France. A region much overlooked and brimming with promise and potential.

Viticulture

From some of the finest vineyards in the Roussillon, this delightful fruity red wine is created from a field blend of native varietals, usually comprising Carignan, Caladoc and Mersellan or Grenache Noir. The soils are composed of clay and silt.

Winemaking

A traditional red wine fermentation in stainless steel without carbonic maceration.

Oak Aging

No oak aging

Tasting Note

A deep cherry red with burgundy highlights. Slightly smoky on the nose, black berry flavours and a hint of garrigue this wine has a vibrant colour, lovely tannins and fresh acidity. Cranberry, strawberry and raspberry are evident as well as subtle notes of floral notes such as rose petal and violets. Excellent length and tannins.

Food Matching

Rack of lamb, pork and chicken.
